About 4 years ago, I was living in Thailand, and I made a video about the town I was living in:https://vimeo.com/122120663Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, I was searching around on YT for Thailand videos, when I run into this channel:https://www.youtube.com/user/touropiaSo I clicked on a video of theirs titled something like, "Top 10 destinations in Thailand." To my surprise, from 0:46 to 1:07 of their video contains footages completely stolen from my original vimeo video. Naturally, I reported it and had youtube take it down. The owner of the channel then emailed me, telling me that it should be fair use, and that he didn't do anything wrong. I basically just told him that he stole my work without any consent, and went about my day. I just received this email back from youtube:https://imgur.com/oRJiDBCWhat can I do? I don't really care what this guy does with his videos/channel, I just don't want him using my work. It can probably be assumed that he's doing this type of thing with all of his other videos as well. via /r/youtube
