An Update to YouTube's Discriminatory Decision to Ban our Comments (SBSK)

Hey everyone. Chris from SBSK here! I run a channel with 1.4 subscribers where I Interview people living with different disabilities. Last month YouTube disabled our comments. Here's an update on the situation. We just got off the phone with YouTube. They said we lost our comments because of some very disturbing comments they found on our channel. They told us to brace ourselves as they prepared to share the sexually predatory comments. They then loaded a word doc with the comment "I want to suck Dem tiddies" on it. They could not verify if this was on a video of an adult or child. There were 4-5 other comments on the document too that we're about the same in nature as the one above. In my opinion, all seemed like young people attempting to troll. A few trolls have haulted our social movement. In response I shared "We are one hundred percent committed to doing anything we need to in order to get our comments back. We hope we can move past this and create a mutually beneficial partnership. But until we have our comments we will be forced to advocate publicly for our community. "They then stated that there is no guarantee we will ever have our comments enabled again.I wish there was happier news to share. They did proactively say they were willing to update us on the situation through a video call every two weeks. I accepted this offer but reiterated that without action on their end we will continue to advocate publicly. We do not need an ear to vent to, we need out community back. via /r/youtube
