Most of this crap has spawned from youtubes desire to "expand its audiences" and have people create content that's suitable to children and from that a dozen other problems have spawned. It's been a long time since I made a youtube account but I recall when youtube first started being a thing there was a age requirement to sign up, I.E. "children stay off the platform" and if we'd kept it that way we wouldn't have these problems. No content aimed at children and no content uploaded involving children, I get you want to keep memories of events you had, but that's what DVD's and cloud storage are for. via /r/youtube
