Youtube always disliked filters because they allow users to find what they want instead of what google wants to show. Now they have found an excuse (NZ shooting) to suspend the search filter option and test to see if it's okay to remove filters altogether. Less youtube searches = more clicks on recommended videos. via /r/youtube
